Help Support Laminators Inc. in Canstruction 2016!
Dear Friend and Community Supporter:
Show your support by sponsoring The C[A]N Artists in their efforts to design and build a can-sculpture for the Greater Lehigh Valley Canstruction event, September 29 – October 13, 2016. This event brings teams of local architects, engineers, manufacturers, and contractors together in a competition to build giant sculptures made entirely out of cans of food. Displayed at the Lehigh Valley Mall, the theme this year is Lehigh Valley Heritage. To honor the heritage of the hard working men and women of the Lehigh Valley, our team will be building a scale replica of a MACK truck, proudly headquartered in the Lehigh Valley for over a century.
At the end of the exhibit, all the food and money raised will be donated to the Second Harvest Food Bank for distribution to local families in need. Canstruction® though isn’t just a large food drive for Second Harvest, it’s an event. An event that draws crowds, makes headlines in the media, encourages creativity, team building and healthy competition.
We need your help! All of the cans for our sculpture must be purchased by us. Working with local food distributors, we will get the very best deal we can, but still we will need to raise up to $7,500 to cover the cost of 9,000 cans. Being a sponsor is easy; just choose the amount of positive exposure you would like your company to receive and contact us by September 1.
The sponsorship levels are:
Please consider becoming a sponsor today to support our team and community. We look forward to making our design a reality and with your support, we will be one can closer.
What is Canstruction?
Founded in 1992, Canstruction competitions are held annually in over 150 cities around the world raising millions of pounds of food. Canstruction’s mission is to engage the passionate, talented and dedicated members of the design-build industry, raise awareness of hunger in our community, and provide hunger relief assistance by collecting canned food for distribution to local food banks.
During the inaugural Greater Lehigh Valley Canstruction last year, our team constructed a 5’ tall slice of pumpkin pie. View a video of its construction here.
The event generated a lot of local publicity including this story from WFMZ Channel 69 News.
Hunger plagues every city and community around the world. Nearly 17.2 million households in the US alone are food insecure. Canstruction events raise awareness through a creative and educational medium and have the ability to consistently raise millions of pounds of food for hunger relief organizations each year. Canstruction proves every day that One Can Make a Difference®. Canstruction competitions and events have raised over 20 million pounds of food since 1992 to feed the hungry.
The 2nd Annual Greater Lehigh Valley Canstruction® Design Build Competition is September 29 to October 13. Our structure will be displayed to the public for two weeks at The Lehigh Valley Mall. Local television stations will cover the preparation and build day. Our signage with your logo or name will be prominently positioned at our sculpture and the builders will wear t-shirts bearing your information during and after the sculpture build. The awards ceremony gathers community supporters and participants to make the official donation to Second Harvest and to recognize the sculpture winners.
YES! I want to support The C[A]N Artists in the effort to fight against hunger in the Greater Lehigh Valley.
