Laminators Participates in CANstruction Event to Combat Hunger
Teams of engineers, designers, manufacturers and contractors gathered together at the Lehigh Valley Mall, Whitehall, PA for the 2015 CANstruction Greater Lehigh Valley event. This year's theme "S'caring Hunger Away" required teams to design and build Halloween-themed structures out of canned food.
A couple of key sponsors, AIA Eastern Pennsylvania and our local CSI Allentown Chapter, invited Laminators Incorporated to join the USA Architects team in this very special event to combat hunger. Our Technical Sales Engineer, Jeff Shriver, excitedly joined in on the action. He and his [CAN] artist team constructed the delicious “Pump-Can Pie” display, which used 2,750 cans of food! The local news station, WMFZ-TV 69 News, Allentown, PA interviewed Jeff and other various participants regarding the prominence of this event - see the video here.
Funds raised by this event benefited Second Harvest Food Bank, Allentown, PA. All canned goods used to make each display will be donated to the food bank when the contest is complete.
