Laminators Incorporated is seeking a detail-oriented Sales Tax Coordinator to support the day-to-day execution of our multi-state sales and use tax processes. This clerical and process-driven role is responsible for maintaining accurate transactional tax data, managing exemption certificates, and ensuring the integrity of sales tax information within our business systems.

While overall tax strategy, tax return preparation, and audit defense are managed by external tax consultants, this position plays a critical role in supporting compliance by maintaining accurate records, documentation, and process controls. (ERP & Avalara)

This position is ideal for an organized individual who excels at data accuracy, documentation management, and adherence to established procedures.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; associate degree in Accounting, Business Administration, or related field preferred.
  • Minimum of one (1) year of recent experience in accounts receivable, billing, sales tax administration, or a related accounting support role.
  • Experience working in a manufacturing environment is a plus.

Skills:

  • Strong attention to detail with a high degree of accuracy.
  • Excellent organizational and recordkeeping skills.
  • Ability to communicate professionally with customers, coworkers, and external partners.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook.
  • Experience with ERP systems; Infor SyteLine experience preferred.
  • Experience with Avalara or similar sales tax compliance software preferred.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities while meeting deadlines.
  • Ability to follow established procedures and maintain documentation discipline

Duties:

  • Assist with educational and CEU presentations for architectural firms (training provided)
  • Help identify, develop, and train new installer and fabricator relationships
  • Collaborate with inside sales and sales leadership to move projects forward
  • Maintain accurate activity and opportunity tracking in the CRM
  • Attend local industry events or meetings as needed

Skills:

  • Strong negotiation skills combined with B2B (business-to-business) sales experience or interest.
  • Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written to effectively engage with diverse clients.
  • Proven ability in outbound calling techniques to generate leads and build relationships.
  • Experience using CRM software such as Salesforce or similar platforms for managing customer data and sales activities.
  • Customer service-oriented mindset with a focus on delivering positive client experiences.
  • Ability to develop new business opportunities through proactive marketing efforts and business development strategies.
