  • Charlottesville, Virginia covering Eastern Virginia and the Chesapeake Region
  • Nashville, Tennessee covering Tennessee and Kentucky
  • Seattle, Washington covering Northern California, Oregon, and Washington State

We are seeking a dynamic and motivated Entry-Level Architectural Sales Area Manager to join our growing team! Duties:

  • Call on architects, contractors, installers, and fabricators to build relationships
  • Support architectural firms with project discovery and specification opportunities
  • Identify and pursue new construction and renovation projects
  • Learn product systems, applications, and basic installation concepts
  • Assist with educational and CEU presentations for architectural firms (training provided)
  • Help identify, develop, and train new installer and fabricator relationships
  • Collaborate with inside sales and sales leadership to move projects forward
  • Maintain accurate activity and opportunity tracking in the CRM
  • Attend local industry events or meetings as needed

Skills:

  • Strong negotiation skills combined with B2B (business-to-business) sales experience or interest.
  • Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written to effectively engage with diverse clients.
  • Proven ability in outbound calling techniques to generate leads and build relationships.
  • Experience using CRM software such as Salesforce or similar platforms for managing customer data and sales activities.
  • Customer service-oriented mindset with a focus on delivering positive client experiences.
  • Ability to develop new business opportunities through proactive marketing efforts and business development strategies.

Overview

Laminators Inc. is seeking a high-impact Regional Sales Manager to lead growth in our Architectural/OEM Division across the Northeast. This is a front-line, field-driven role focused on expanding architectural specifications, developing distributor/fabricator/installer partnerships, and winning profitable architectural, sign, and OEM opportunities. You’ll serve as the face of Laminators Inc. in the region – combining strategic account planning with disciplined execution and outstanding relationship management.

What You’ll Do

  • Deliver strong year-over-year revenue growth across all product groups.
  • Expand architectural specifications by building influence with targeted firms and design decision-makers.
  • Develop and maintain strategic partnerships with distributors, fabricators, installers, and independent reps.
  • Own regional field activity: plan calls, maintain CRM accuracy, and proactively manage a healthy pipeline.
  • Conduct AIA CEUs, system trainings, lunch-and-learns, and jobsite visits to drive adoption and loyalty.
  • Collaborate closely with Inside Sales, Technical Services, and Marketing to convert opportunities and support customers.
  • Track competitive activity and share market insights to inform pricing, product positioning, and strategy.
  • Ensure consistent follow-through on quotes, submittals, awarded jobs, and project execution.
  • Support and grow the Certified Installer Program across the territory.
  • Provide routine territory updates, forecasts, and activity reporting to leadership.

What You Bring – Required

  • 5+ years of successful sales experience in architectural building products.
  • Proven ability to influence specifications and drive adoption with architects and design teams.
  • Experience selling through distribution channels; strong partnership mindset.
  • Comfort with technical selling (systems, testing standards, compliance, performance).
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, including CEUs and training delivery.
  • Strong organizational discipline, time management, and follow-through.
  • Data-driven approach to pipeline, pricing, and market trends; CRM proficiency.
  • Ability to travel extensively and manage a multi-state territory independently.

What You Bring – Preferred

  • Experience working with fabricators, installers, and/or independent reps.
  • Bachelor’s degree in business or related field.

Work Environment & Physical Requirements

  • Frequent travel with time spent in offices, fabrication shops, construction settings, and jobsites.
  • Regular standing/walking and occasional lifting.
  • Home-based within the territory with consistent regional field coverage.
