Reports to: Inside Sales Manager

Location: Hatfield, PA
This role provides customer service and technical support to architects, contractors, distributors, installers, and Regional Managers (RMs). Typical questions are focused on order status, product information, account status, pricing, product, systems or service. This is a great opportunity for self-starter who is motivated, a collaborative team player, and operates well with minimal supervision.
You will perform a wide range of tasks, including:
- Communicate product information, pricing, availability, and lead-time quotations of standard items to established distributors. This is done utilizing independent judgment through the knowledge of our manufacturing and scheduling process.
- Enter orders in ERP system, track orders throughout production process, and expedite as required.
- Provide answers to technical questions from architects, contractors, distributors, installers, and Regional Managers.
- Provide sales / marketing support as needed. This includes, but is not limited to, assisting the Regional Sales Managers by fielding calls from potential customers, architects, contractors, distributors, and installers.
- Optimize information from customers regarding size and quantity of panels in the Smart 2D database.
- Create job specific warranties for customers.
- Assemble submittal packages for distribution to customers and architects.
- Collaborate with outside raw material vendors and our internal purchasing department on pricing, inventory, and samples to streamline the quoting and delivery processes.
- Track, process, mediate, and close customer complaints within company standard of 48 hours, whenever possible.
The role requires the ability to be a productive member of a collaborative team while ensuring strict adherence to all design and construction requirements. The candidate must be able to manage tasks in a manner that will safeguard the company’s risk or exposure.
Requirements:
- 2+ years of customer service and 2-5 years of product manufacturing experience preferred.
- High School diploma required, with preference given to candidates with a Bachelors’ degree.
- Proficiency in MS Word, PowerPoint, Excel and Outlook required.

Reports To: Materials Manager

We are seeking an experienced Buyer Agent to provide us with the proper information and processes to ensure the availability of materials. Duties include market research, supplier selection, negotiation, vendor relationship management, procurement of goods and services, cost management, quality assurance, compliance, and risk management, as well as inventory management, which involves forecasting, assisting with inventory counting, and integrating inventory with financial transactions. Responsible “buyer” for assigned commodities/vendors. Provide support to the purchasing team and management by running, analyzing, reporting, and communicating appropriate information. Provide support to the organization in the effective use of the ERP System (Syteline) as required. This position requires an individual who is detail oriented, demonstrates initiative, and is eager to take ownership of their responsibilities.
General Duties and Responsibilities:
- Identify product requirements for the company, define specs, research and evaluate potential suppliers (product performance vs. spec, price, quality, delivery, and reputation).
- Conduct market research as needed to analyze industry trends, benchmark against industry standards, identify new suppliers/vendors and/or materials, and monitor price trends.
- Create Purchase Orders, Track, and ensure receipt, inspection, and payment.
- Negotiate Price, Payment Terms, Delivery Terms, Discounts, etc.
- Manage overall costs via bulk purchases, vendor consolidation, competitive bidding, and regular cost reviews.
- Eliminate single-source scenarios to reduce risk, possible service disruption, and reduce costs.
- In coordination with Quality Assurance, we set quality standards, conduct supplier audits, ensure regular product inspections, and provide vendor feedback for continuous improvement.
- Manage inventory via forecasting in conjunction with Sales, monitoring/tracking stock levels, setting safety stock levels, reordering as needed, and avoiding overstocking.
- Ensure legal compliance, ethical practices, and contract management were needed.
- Oversee supplier management system-Sourcing, selection/qualification, evaluation, and development/certification.
- Effective use of the ERP system to manage the supply chain.
- Create annual purchase price projections for all commodities.
- Oversee/negotiate suppliers’ settlements as required.
- Ensure timely disposition of non-conforming materials with suppliers.
- Ensure effective integration between sales forecast and materials planning.
- Oversee inventory management activities.
- Inter-company coordination of areas of responsibility.
- Regular attendance and the ability to get along in a team environment.
- Other duties as assigned.
Educational and Experience Requirements:
- 3 – 5 years of experience preferred.
- Negotiation, Organization, Communication, Interpersonal and Time Management skills required.
- Prior MRP/ERP experience required. Syteline experience preferred.
- Ability to interface at multiple levels of an organization.
- Working knowledge of MS Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Excel is necessary.
- Strong interpersonal skills required with the ability to effectively interface with peers and management of other functional areas, including sales, manufacturing,
engineering, materials, finance, HR, and IT. - Superb communication skills, both written and verbal required.
- Preferred APICS certification.
- Metal experience preferred.
- International buying experience preferred.
