Honoring the Life and Legacy of Joseph “Dave” David Thompson
The Laminators Incorporated family remembers and honors the life of Joseph “Dave” David Thompson, who passed away on September 16, 2026, at the age of 84.
Building on the foundation established by his father in 1963, Dave helped shape Laminators into the company it is today. Throughout his leadership, he remained committed to the values that defined the family business from the beginning: hard work, integrity, and a commitment to always doing what is right. His dedication extended beyond the success of the company to the meaningful relationships he built with employees, customers, vendors, and the community.

By his side was his wife of 62 years, Diane, whose dedication and support were an important part of the Laminators story. Together, they helped strengthen a family legacy that continues through the next generation.
Dave believed in treating people with respect, building lasting relationships, and taking pride in a job well done. These principles guided his leadership and remain deeply rooted in the company today.
In 2008, Dave passed the business to the next generation, with his sons Dave, Scott, Marc, and Garrett continuing to lead Laminators and carry forward the family’s values and traditions.
Beyond his contributions to Laminators, Dave was deeply committed to giving back. He generously supported churches, charitable organizations, and causes close to his heart, including Covenant House, the Smile Foundation, and many others.
In retirement, he continued serving his community through his involvement with the Pennridge School Board, including four years as president. His courage and perseverance throughout an eleven-year battle with colon cancer reflected the strength and determination with which he approached life.
While Dave will be deeply missed, his influence remains part of the Laminators story. The company his father founded more than six decades ago continues to reflect the leadership, dedication, and values Dave helped uphold and strengthen throughout his life.
We are grateful for the example he set, the relationships he built, and the lasting legacy he leaves behind.
We invite our employees, customers, vendors, industry partners, and friends to join us in honoring Dave’s memory and celebrating his life.
