Omega-Lite® ACM panels handsomely clad new mixed-used building in Columbus, Ohio.

Hatfield, PA – Located on North High Street in Columbus, OH, the Uncommon is the newest apartment complex to hit the city.

With its premier apartment amenities—fully-furnished with designer furnishings, in-unit washer/dryer, quartz countertops, 50” SMART TV with cable; as well as its exclusive building amenities, including—outdoor courtyard and pool deck with a hot tub, club room with a billiards table, 24-hour health/fitness center, study lounges with private work stations and computer bar to name a few, the Uncommon allows residents to live a lifestyle far from the ordinary. Its residents are walking distance to Ohio State University, as well as many restaurants and shops.

General contractor Elford Construction in Columbus, OH completed construction in 2018—part of that construction included installing 26,000 sq ft of Laminators Incorporated Omega-Lite®ACM panels using their proprietary 1-Piece, Tight-Fit Molding installation system.  Architect Humphreys & Partners, Chicago, IL selected Slate Grey and Bone White PVDF/Kynar 500® panel colors to match the welcoming and energetic modern theme.

Omega-Lite ACM panels offer a highly decorative, strong, and durable surface finish for exterior wall surfaces. Composed of a polypropylene, light-weight corrugated core between two finished aluminum sheets, these panels are non-absorbent, water-resistant and easy to maintain.

Omega-Lite installed with the 1-Piece, Tight-Fit system guaranteed the Uncommon Columbus apartments a class A fire rating as well as met NFPA (National Fire Protection Association) 285, Miami-Dade County Product Control and Florida Product Approval requirements.  Laminators Inc. manufactures high quality ACM panels that meet these stringent performance levels and provide design professionals and building owners the confidence that their cladding will withstand the most extreme conditions.
