Laminators Inc. Appoints New VP of Sales and Marketing and New National Sales Manager

Hatfield, PA – Laminators Incorporated is pleased to announce the promotion of part-owner and longstanding employee, Garrett Thompson, as Vice President of Sales and Marketing.

Thompson has held various positions throughout his 26 years at Laminators, including Customer Service Supervisor, Product Manager, Strategic Marketing Manager, and National Sales Manager for the Sign & Graphic Composite Products division. With his promotion to VP Sales and Marketing, Thompson is responsible for the entire range of marketing planning, market development, sales promotion, and sales activities of the organization. This includes formulating, recommending, and implementing policies, as well as sales and marketing plans and strategies. 

Some of Thompson’s main responsibilities consist of developing the annual sales and marketing plan and programs, evaluating current performance by market/channel for existing markets, analyzing the potential of new markets and develop sales plans to achieve that growth, and working with distribution and direct clients in all markets served to ensure that partnerships are functioning at optimal levels. He will play a key role in building a strong and diverse sales and marketing team by implementing best organizational structures and practices to deliver maximum growth, profitability, and productivity.

Thompson’s first initiative in his new role as VP Sales and Marketing was promoting Joe Tavine to National Sales Manager for the OEM Composite Products division. Tavine joined Laminators in February 2022 as Regional Sales Manager for OEM. Throughout the last year, Tavine has played an integral part of growing the OEM division. Prior to Laminators, Tavine worked in various levels of sales and management including Account Manager, Business Development Manager, Area Sales Manager, Territorial Sales, and Project Manager at companies such as Nudo Products, CDI, Walnut Custom Components, and Panolam Surface Systems.

Tavine is responsible for all field sales activities for OEM products and will be the primary field advocate for all manufactured and outsourced OEM panel products and accessories.  Tavine will proactively evaluate and implement appropriate sales techniques to increase North American sales volume and profitability, as well as build customer relationships.
